A Vision from Nana Amba Otuwa
As a Developmental Queen Mother and leader devoted to community development, I, Nana Amba Otuwa, am committed to making a lasting difference in the lives of our educators. I firmly believe that when teachers are provided with safe, dignified housing, their morale, job satisfaction, and attendance improve—creating a ripple effect that positively transforms the academic success and future of our children.
Community Ties and Commitment
I serve with pride in the communities of Odwumsi, Essaaman, Akokorkrom, Achiase, and Pataase in Ghana. Through this campaign, I aim to uplift the hardworking teachers who serve these communities and empower them to continue shaping the minds of the next generation.
The Challenge: A Matching Community Initiative
I am inviting each of our communities, along with educational leaders across Ghana, to join me in a unique matching challenge:

Together, we will see which community can complete the project swiftly and with excellence, reflecting the true spirit of unity, progress, and service.
The Reality: Why This Matters
Many of our teachers travel several miles daily—often on foot—in extreme weather conditions to reach their schools. This affects their physical and emotional health and limits their ability to teach effectively. By providing them with quality housing near the school, we eliminate this barrier and allow them to focus fully on their mission of education.
