Imagine a place where children who’ve never owned a pencil walk confidently into classrooms equipped with books, uniforms, and the support they need to dream boldly. Imagine a space where the sound of drumming, poetry, and laughter rings through the air—where education meets healing, creativity, and culture.
This is not just a dream.
This is the vision for the Dr. Dione Washington Preparatory School—and we need your help to build it.
The Vision: More Than a School
We are embarking on the cutting-edge development of a transformative educational and wellness campus in rural Ghana that will serve underserved youth and families in Odwumsi, Essaaman, Akokorkrom, Achiase, and Pataase.
This innovative school will be a center of excellence rooted in core academics, community care, and cultural empowerment. But what sets it apart is its holistic design:
Our Key Components:
The Dr. Dione Washington Preparatory School
A full-service academic institution designed to close the education gap in rural areas, providing high-quality instruction, mentorship, and tools for lifelong learning.
The Nana Amba Otuwa I School of the Arts
A unique arts-focused program within the school dedicated to developing youth talent in music, dance, drama, and poetry, instilling confidence, creativity, and cultural pride.
Healthcare Facility On-Site
Access to basic health screenings, preventative care, and emotional wellness services—ensuring students and families are healthy, supported, and able to thrive.
Academic and Social Support Services
Wraparound resources such as tutoring, counseling, school supplies, and food support, all tailored to meet the needs of the whole child and their household.
Why It Matters
Children in these rural regions face significant challenges—poverty, lack of access to quality education, food insecurity, and limited healthcare. We believe education should never be a privilege based on geography. With this project, we aim to rewrite the narrative for generations to come.
We’re not just building a school.
We’re building legacy, dignity, and opportunity.
